Straight Laced was my senior collection at AIULA. The above clip is from the school's senior fashion show, in which I was one of 24 students chosen to participate. The collection itself is a sexy update of business suits, with slight inspiration from the 1940s, worn with corsets.

The fabrics used were primarily of natural fibers: silk, cotton, and wool. Most fabrics were from S. Rimmon Imported Fabrics, where I was working at that time. The prints are variations on traditional menswear fabrics: tweed, herringbone, pinstripe, and houndstooth.

I created all the patterns for these garments, but Roxana Nava graciously assisted with the sewing so that the deadline could be met.
